What was the highlight of Maritonies Place

Hot shower and air con plus free (cold!

Hot shower and air con plus free (cold!!) Water and coffee. Only about 7 minutes walk to the town and cheap tricycle. There's also a hippy bar down the road which is beautiful for a sunset and does fantastic food!

The staff weren't too friendly apart from the receptionist. It more felt like a few families living there and we were in the way when using the common area.

In general The building and the inner court was nice, and you can have a warm shower

Looking the pictures in booking, we were convince to have the bathroom inside the room, but it wasn’t and it wasn’t specify ( when we were reserving we were Looking just for bedroom with bathroom inside, so for us it was a bad surprise) We asked the shuttle for the airport the day before for 8:30/9 am and it arrived at 9:20

Good value for money place, a little out of the way but we didn't mind the walk. Generally comfortable and clean

Would not go there again!

When it is possible they give you a free tricycle ride.

We had booked for a long time before and when we came there she said the people in our room stayed an extra night so we got a very very small room with ventilator instead of airco, no hot water in the shower, no proper WiFi in the room, no toilet seat, ... The next day we got our room (the one we booked in the first place) for the second night. This room was better, but she didnt handle the whole situation very well. We didnt feel very welcome. There also was a lot of noise at night.

Lovely

Really really helpful staff - there was a confusion with the room and they upgraded us free of charge ! Also super helpful booking tours etc. The room was lovely, comfy beds and a hot shower which is rare in the Philippines!!

It is a little bit out of town (5-10 min walk) but that didn’t really bother us !

Very accommodating staff.

Very accommodating staff. They all got it prepared for the guests (i.e transpo to and from the hotel, van transfer to the airport and own boat for island tours. Free coffee and use of kitchen utensils. You may opt to use their kitchen to cook your own meal with a cheap price of 150 pesos. Overall, my stay here is excellent and very convenient.

Good affordable option but could still improve!

Friendly staff, clean rooms, good a/c, quiet location, helpful advice available and even cheap laundry service!

The shared bathrooms are not so good or convinent - pretty small, no toilet seat, showers in same tiny space so always messy.

Would not stay here again.

Easy check in and out.

Terrible bathrooms! There was no toilet seat on ours and it seemed like the family was always using the public bathrooms! The family also eats right outside your room for breakfast and dinner. While they are very nice and always smile at you, it is often uncomfortable seeing them every time you open your door it seems like you have zero privacy there. It is also very noisy at night because they hang out late.

Horrendous experience even for the price.

I'm the communal area the wifi was OK. The girls at the desk were quite friendly and booked the shuttle to the airport for us.

Where to start! The room was underground down a passage so never got any fresh air. It had a window that looked out into the passage. It was suffocating in the room and the aircon was really noisy and not possible to use at night as kept us awake. So noisy we couldn't even hear the cockerels! The bathroom was disgusting, it smelt horrendous and there was no loo seat.
